Images for advertising should tell a story. They should have impact, or show wit, be indulgent or so full of flavour you can’t wait to eat it. The story could be one of provenance, ingredients, colour, or cooking up a storm.
We love Harsha’s work because she photographs food with a strong sense of narrative. We see chefs engaged in the process of food preparation. We see mixers covered in batter, giving us a peak into the process. We see pouring, beating, stirring and icing. We see a bite taken out of a cookie, evoking a sense of someone interacting with the food.
